Project Overview: Supported by the World Heart Federation (WHF), this campaign (September 24 – November 15, 2025) aimed to tackle Cardiovascular Diseases (CVDs) by combining health education with grassroots action.
Strategic Approach: The project integrated traditional risk factors (diet, stress, physical activity) with environmental threats, specifically air pollution, while empowering individuals with lived experiences to lead advocacy efforts.
Key Activities and Reach:
Yoga and Wellness Session (New Delhi): Engaged 140 participants, including children and high-risk parents, in a session focusing on mindfulness, physical activity, and heart health awareness.
Community Storytelling Circle (Indore): Titled “Dil Se Dil Ki Baat,” this session brought together 35 participants to share lived experiences, focusing on emotional resilience and early symptom recognition
Street Plays (Nukkad Natak): Performed the play “Hriday Rog Se Bachav: Jeevan Shailee Se Paryavaran Tak” in high-visibility areas in New Delhi, reaching 350 community members with messages about lifestyle changes and the impact of air quality on heart health.
Core Outcomes: The project successfully delivered a suite of reusable tools and demonstrated that combining emotional storytelling with practical wellness education is vital for effective CVD prevention in India.
