Objectives

Develop a fully functional Global Centre for improving MLTC-related health outcomes and research, that is self-sustaining and aligned closely with the Governments of India and Nepal as strategic partners

Methodology

  • Community engagement and co-design with stakeholders to ensure patient-centred and culturally relevant interventions.
  • Understanding lived experiences through community conversations and interviews to inform intervention design.
  • Identification and capacity building of community champions to lead peer-support and research activities.
  • Development of patient networks to promote mutual learning, empowerment,and advocacy.
  • Implementation and evaluation through pilot testing and a cluster RCT to assess feasibility and effectiveness.
  • Dissemination and policy integration to embed the model within national health systems in India and Nepal.

Results/Outcomes

  • Establishment of a sustainable research and implementation hub for MLTCs.
  • Enhanced quality of life and improved, equitable health outcomes for communities.
  • Strengthened community-led and lived experience-driven advocacy networks.
