NCD Prevention Accelerator Programme (2021-2023)
HIA aims to contribute towards changing that narrative to a more comprehensive response to mitigate the hazards of air pollution as a complex risk factor across NCDs. The policy landscape warrants multi-sectoral and multi-stakeholder action, including CSOs and people living with NCDs to ensure mitigate air pollution and its harmful effects on health, NCDs in particular.
Objectives
- Conduct a national situational analysis to gauge the current policy environment and political landscape relevant for NCD prevention and control with a focus on indoor and outdoor air pollution.
- Based on the findings of the situational analysis, identify strategic priorities, stakeholders, opportunities and challenges for action on air pollution in India.
- Develop and roll out of a tailored CSO-led campaign to augment action related to air pollution in India.
