HRIDAY, New Delhi is inviting applications for the post of Medical Officer on a contractual basis for working on the SBI Cancer Care project for early detection and referral-based treatment of breast, cervical, and oral cancers in Kozhikode and Wayanad districts of Kerala.

LOCATION Kozhikode and Wayanad districts, Kerala
Essential Qualification Pass in Class 8 or above from a recognised board.
Valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) driving licence.
Desirable Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in driving heavy or light motor vehicles, preferably vans, ambulances, or mobile health units.
  • Experience driving in hilly terrain and rural/semi-urban areas of Kerala..
  • Basic vehicle maintenance skills and ability to carry out minor on-road repairs.
  • Knowledge of local roads, geography, and routes in Kozhikode and Wayanad districts.
  • Knowledge of Malayalam preferred.
  • Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
Age Preferably below 45 years
Consolidated Remuneration ₹22000/- per month (consolidated)
Job Description
  • Drive the Mobile Screening Unit (MSU) and project vehicles to target villages and screening locations in Kozhikode and Wayanad districts as per the project schedule.
  • Ensure safe, timely, and efficient transportation of project staff, medical equipment, and screening devices.
  • Assist in the loading, unloading, and safe handling of medical equipment and project materials.
  • Carry out routine checks on the vehicle and ensure it is maintained in good working condition; report any defects or repair requirements promptly.
  • Maintain a logbook of daily trips, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance records.
  • Coordinate with the project team on daily movement plans and field visit schedules.
  • Adhere to all traffic rules, road safety norms, and organisational driving protocols at all times.
  • Support project activities at field locations as required.
