HRIDAY, New Delhi is inviting applications for the post of Staff Nurse on a contractual basis for working on the SBI Cancer Care project for early detection and referral-based treatment of breast, cervical, and oral cancers in Kozhikode and Wayanad districts of Kerala.

LOCATION MVR Cancer Centre and Institute (MVRCCI), Kozhikode, Kerala
Essential Qualification
  • MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution with valid registration from the relevant Medical/Dental Council.
  • Preferred: Post-graduate qualification in Oncology, Public Health, Preventive Medicine, or a related field.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience in cancer care, oncology, or community-based cancer screening programmes.
  • Familiarity with hospital-based patient referral systems and care pathways.
  • Experience in liaising with government health departments, NGOs, or multi-stakeholder health programmes.
  • Experience in guiding or supervising mobile screening or outreach-based health activities.
  • Familiarity with obtaining permissions, approvals, and regulatory clearances for health interventions.
  • Knowledge of Malayalam preferred.
Age Preferably below 60 years
Consolidated Remuneration ₹20,000/- per month (consolidated)
Job Description
  • Oversee and support the operationalisation of the SBI Cancer Care project at the MVRCCI site in Kozhikode, providing strategic and clinical guidance to the on-ground team.
  • Support the existing clinical team in facilitating timely and appropriate patient referrals for confirmatory diagnosis and treatment at MVRCCI.
  • Participate in fortnightly coordination meetings with the HRIDAY on-ground team to review project progress, address field challenges, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Guide the field team on clinical screening protocols and best practices for breast, cervical, and oral cancer detection.
  • Support the team in obtaining requisite permissions, institutional approvals, and regulatory clearances needed for project activities.
  • Act as the institutional liaison between MVRCCI and HRIDAY, facilitating coordination on clinical, administrative, and operational matters.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to field staff on clinical quality, referral documentation, and patient follow-up.
